Mike Adams Business Broker
Mike Adams started out as a continuous improvement engineer at Hewlett Packard, where identifying value-added processes sent him to facilities across the country to help leaders streamline operations from the inside. He moved up through leadership roles from there, managing teams of six to a hundred and fifty and carrying full P&L responsibility at Fortune 500 scale across supply chain, marketing and sales in both CPG and food manufacturing.
The entrepreneurial side ran alongside it. He has started and run a number of Amazon businesses representing millions in gross revenue, and has completed M&A transactions with private equity firms, Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. Having seen the deal process from several seats, he moved to the broker side to put that experience to work for the people on either end of it.
What he likes about the job is the alignment part: getting a seller the highest value for what they built, or matching a buyer with the company that takes them to the next level. He treats honesty, communication and transparency as the mechanics of getting a deal closed rather than as a stated value, and describes working with owners who built something through sustained effort as a privilege.
Mike has three daughters, and time with them, his wife and the dog takes priority. Otherwise he trains, plays sport, travels, and is reliably in favour of a good IPA.
